I am honoured to take over as the Chairman of Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Businesses as Chairman. In past 18 months, this Chamber has elevated many Small and Medium businesses to next level through various programs.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and backbone sector of the Indian economy. MSMEs not only play crucial role in providing large employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost than large industries but also help in industrialization of rural & backward areas, thereby, reducing regional imbalances, assuring more equitable distribution of national income and wealth. MSMEs are complimentary to large industries as ancillary units and this sector contributes enormously to the socio-economic development of the country.
With mantra of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'given by Hon. Prime Minister of India, MSMEs sector can play very crucial role in Making of New India, a journey from developing country to developed country.
As said by Hon. Prime Minister, data analysis, artificial intelligence, blockchain techniques should be utilised by small companies and agriculture sectors for overall development of Nation. We will focus on these programs for MSMEs.
Our Chamber has been providing unique support to MSMEs, Young & Women entrepreneurs and Start Ups to convert business ideas and new concepts into profitable business ventures. We will continue working in this area to guide first-generation and second-generation entrepreneurs with special focus on Agro sector so that we will contribute todoubling farmers income.
In coming days, our focus would be on students, young start-ups in order to bring the culture of entrepreneurship at early level for wealth generation.
Since Diwali & Festival season is around, let's take pledge to purchase 30% of our requirements from MSME sector, if we as a citizen do this, we can support this sector and Indian economy in a big way. As our mission says,make MSMEs more resilient, and make them the backbone of Indian economy, we will strive towards achieving this.
I am looking forward to work with my dynamic team who has in short period of time made our Chamber a national level Chamber.
